Kaleidoscope Patterns with Stringer Sheets and Wiggles Patterns

How does a Kaleidoscope design happen? We will use stringer sheets and cut to make a Kaleidoscope pattern. Wiggles is another strip cutting exercise using curves and then fusing. The curves are a surprise once you fuse them. Supplies included. Prerequisite: First Time Fusers, or equivalent. Minimum age: 14

Glass Color Overlays Workshop

In this two-day workshop, you will have a chance to create a variety of color samples layering transparent glass. After reviewing the samples, you will then create a final project based on the specific sample selections. You will be amazed at the range of possible colors and effects! Supplies included. Prerequisite: First Time Fusers or equivalent background. Minimum age 14

First Time Fusers

In this introduction to the art and techniques of fused glass you will gain the skills to create beautiful glass art through a mix of demonstrations and “hands on” practice. Learn to design, cut and fire glass with three projects that require fusing, slumping and draping techniques. Become familiar with the kiln firing process and how artists use time and temperature. This workshop is a prerequisite for most of our other workshops. A complimentary “two hour” Open Studio voucher is provided upon completion.

Fused Glass Jewels and Pendants Workshop

Learn techniques to create one-of-a-kind jewelry. The class will use dichroic, iridized and colorful fusing glass to make pieces that can be used as pendants, bracelets, earrings, key chains, or inserts into other glass artwork. Techniques will include designing, glass cutting, fusing, bubble production, etching and glass layering. Learn finishing techniques to create a professional look. No previous experience required, supplies included. Minimum age 14.

Wired Up Workshop

Add imagery to glass with metal wire and sheet, using copper, brass and steel. Some will chemically react with certain glasses, resulting in a variety of effects allowing more organic or more representational designs. Techniques include the shaping of wire and cutting metal sheets, using a variety of tools ranging from scissors to mechanical and electronic cutting machines. After creating a collection of samples, a final project will be assembled on Day 2. Optional–Monday,

April 20–an online zoom session to learn how to prepare vector files for use with the electronic cutter in order to create custom designs. No experience needed. Supplies included. Minimum age 14.

Combining Glass Patterns Workshop

Create a variety of patterned glass, using powders, stencils and various glass components. We’ll then cut the patterned glass into shapes and incorporate them in various ways to create a final glass project. You’ll be able to choose from several shape and design options for your final project, and you’ll have plenty of pattern pieces left over to create more glass projects beyond this workshop! Previous cutting experience recommended. All supplies included. Minimum age 14

Mother’s Day Art Glass Workshop

Join us for a special Mother’s Day introductory glass workshop. Come and celebrate with that special woman in your life or come solo to enjoy a day working with glass. Students will create a fused glass dish or tile and a dichroic glass pendant. Beginners are welcome. All supplies included. Please note that the tuition is for one participant. Minimum age 14.

Woven Glass Workshop

Have you ever wondered how glass is woven? This workshop covers techniques to create patterned glass and then weave glass strips. Start with simple weaves, then increase complexity by varying widths, spacing, and adding “visual” texture with layers of glass. Learn about commercial tools and how to create your own. Prerequisite: First Time Fusers or permission of instructor. Supplies included. Minimum age 14.

Easy Beachscapes and Landscapes Workshop

Using the instructor’s water flow technique, create a beachscape or landscape as we explore a variety of glass powder and frit techniques to easily create “painterly” glass imagery. In the first session, students identify water, sky, and beach elements and create components; some components will be created using a torch. In session two you will complete your final composition. Supplies included. Minimum age 14.

Discover Patterns in Pattern Bars

Pattern Bar techniques enable glass artists to add special interest to glass compositions. This workshop is suitable for those new to pattern bar techniques and those who would like to try different design compositions. Supplies included. Prerequisite: First Time Fusers or equivalent. 2026 Summer Camps

M–F, Jun 22–26, 10am–1pm,

Glass Fusing Camp (Ages 10-12)

Explore the creation of fused glass objects. Over the five-day camp, you’ll learn to design and make a variety of glass items. Starting with learning to cut and design glass, each day will bring new methods to make a variety of glass items, including a plate or glass vase/candle holder, jewelry, a clock, and pocket vase. Supplies included

M–F, Jul 13–17, 10am–1pm

Glass Fusing Camp for Teens (Ages 12-16)

Develop your inner artist while learning new skills. Students will have daily opportunities to observe and discuss various sources for inspiration and creative direction, then apply their vision towards designing and creating fused glass art works. Learn basic fused glass skills, find new creative inspiration, and go home with five or more glass projects. No previous experience needed. Supplies included.

Small Treasures Art Glass Camp (Ages 10-12)

Have fun at the Art Glass Center creating little glass treasures! Learn basic glass techniques while creating a variety of glass projects including a dish, mirror, cast plant, jewelry, and a dichroic glass treasure box.  You will also complete a recycled glass project. All supplies included
